We, Us, Ours.
We, Us, Ours is a short film made in collaboration with Marsha, Yeama, Bernice, Aaliyah, Ellie and Kath. It is is a celebration of our power to change, and a call to look closer at the beauty around us. We, Us, Ours written and directed by Luca Rutherford. Filmed by Davey Poremba and sung by Sarah Lawson. We, Us, Ours has been commissioned by Stockton International Riverside Festival 2022.
Just Beyond
This is a film about imagining what lies just beyond. Beyond the end of the day. beyond the end of the street. Beyond a future you can’t see yet.
Just Beyond, is part of a wider project called You Heard Us that celebrates women taking up space.
Just Beyond was made in collaboration with Yoshie Kawamura, Sidney Rose Poremba, Erika Lara Leaman, Sadaf Chezari, Fiona King, Peggy Mae Poremba, Sue Kennedy, ZaraTu Jull, Ailsa Caine, Alba Caine-Nejady, Panda the Cat, Sarah Lawson, Davey Poremba, Chris Durant, Sally Poore, and commissioned by Northern Stage.
You Heard Us
You Heard Us is a public photography project celebrating women taking up public space. This short documentary captures some of the process and the words of participants and collaborators.
